Twice I painted at this spot. The Crystal Springs is a beautiful place. A place unlike any other it looks like something from another planet. As the Springs move and grow it kills all that is in its way. This was a rainy summer. I planned on coming back on another rainy day. Boy, do I know how to plan. The first time I got rained on, the second time, I spent time cowering under my French easel as hail beat down in the ground all around me. I found this specific place after looking through a Thomas Moran book.
